Follow along as we show you why the Scan to CAD way of reverse engineering a physical part is fast and easy. In this video, we use SOLIDWORKS alongside Mesh2Surface plugin to show you the entire process. It involves capturing a real-world object into a 3D model using a 3D scanner. Then the output (STL mesh) is used as a basis for product design. It’s a lot faster and simpler than designing a part completely from scratch.
